Keith > Barcelona: Sagrada Familia. This was a shot begging to be taken. The distortion of the wide angle contributes to the feeling of a bunch of sticks being held together. I used a blue grey tritone to add to the surrealism of the subject.
Keith > Around Yangshou: Scenes like this are easily missed. Fortunately, being on an electric scooter, it was reasonably easy to stop and pull out the camera.
Keith > Hmmm, not bad!
Keith > JERUSALEM: Good Friday procession. We spent a good deal of time waiting for things to happen outside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Good Friday. There were a number of processions in and out of the church. Each of the processions were led by these guardians. I remember taking this 'grab shot' as one of the processions came out. I liked the way the figure in the foreground became a silhouette.
Keith > MADRID - Plaza Mayor - I noticed this guy quietly walking behind various pedestrians imitating their walk. His subjects were completely unaware of him. I started taking some shots of his antics, when he suddenly noticed me. He quickly fell to the ground to give me his best centrefold pose. What do you think? Would he make the women's magazines? Despite my efforts to photograph his best features, I'm not so sure he will make it.
Keith > JERUSALEM: "Boys will be boys" This is one of those quick grab shots. I remember that we were walking, looking for the Western Wall when we came across these kids playing with firecrackers. Jewish boys, especially those from orthodox families (which I think these kids are) usually seem very serious. I liked the idea of these conservatively dressed kids engaging in what looked like a rare moment of abandon. I made the shot black and white and the firecracker colour to add to the playfulness.
