Keith > Walking the bird: This guy was keen to show me that his bird was a good singer.
Keith > Tian'an Men Square and the changng of the guard. I really liked this shot for some reason. They're beautifully coordinated, but it all seems a little off kilter.

Keith > Yangshou, China: Taking off in the balloon
Keith > Yangshou, China: We enjoy ballooning. We have flown in Australia and Egypt. However there is little information about this activity in China. In fact, the only operation we could find was this one in Yangshou. We managed to book a flight in Guilin, and so, on our first morning in Yangshou we went aloft. The balloons and their baskets are quite small, and a very tight fit for four passengers and the pilot. But we made it. It was a very misty morning, so the photos are not as clear as I would like, but beggars can't be choosers. It was a great experience, nonetheless.
Keith > One of the notable tourist activities in Guilin and Yangshou is cormorant fishing. You can see these demonstrations during the day and at night. Locals are quite cynical about these demonstrations, claiming that the fishermen plant drugged fish or that they are drugged in the river. Despite these reservations we found the demonstration quite realistic and lively, and the fish caught by the cormorants seemed very much alive.
Keith > Nanjing Road: a night-time crowd.
Keith > And yet another character in the Shanghai Museum
