We stayed a few days in Shanghai. Not from choice, really. Getting sick meant that we had to stay a little longer, but there is plenty to do and see around Shanghai, so it was an interesting place to be detained.

Keith > The Maglev train runs from Pudong Airport to a station close to the city. It's pretty fast. Yes, as you can see, the speedo is reading 431 KPH!

Keith > In the Shanghai Confucian Temple. These notes represent the wishes of followers.

Keith > New Pudong skyline. I caught this and the next shot walking back to the hotel in the rain. The combination of the lights, the rain and the mist added to the atmosphere.

Keith > What to do on a cloudy, wet day? The Shanghai Museum is well worth a visit. It is simple. The exhibits are beautifully displayed. You can get a reasonably priced lunch in the Museum restaurant. Highly recommended. Coming from someone who finds museums and galleries to as dull as dishwater, that's high praise.
