Rajasthani villages : I think, of all the things we saw on our tour of India, visiting Benshwara and another village near Jojawar provided a glimpse of another life - one that I had certainly lost touch with. These people, and especially the children, live life simply and, from what I saw at least, joyfully. Although I had some concerns about intruding, I also felt that we were THEIR entertainment, rather than the other way around. However I might look at this visit in the future, I think I will always feel that it was a privilege to have been in their company.

Kumbulgargh and Ranakpur : Kumbulgargh Fort is in the Aravalli Hills. It is a 15th Century fort known as the Eye of Mewar, because of its view of the surrounding countryside. Its ramparts extend for 36 kms and was (and is) considered impregnable.

The Adinath Temple at Ranakpur is a beautiful example of 15th century Jain architecture. Our visit was relatively short, and the light was less than perfect. But, maybe, you can get an idea of the photo opportunties you might have have with day or two at your disposal.
